Math Class

Today in math class we had a test on multiplying fractions. I failed. I had 1 out of 3. But I'm working hard to get my grades back up. I should know how to do it because i learned it in 3rd grade. Like my teacher said i need to apply myself. It was embarrassing. I thought that i did good. It was kind of sad because i should have knew this skill already. After the test we had to study our fractions AGAIN! So now i have a better undestanding.

Reading Class

Today in reading class, i found out his is our last week of thins blogging project.I was so happy but my teacher said i have to have 12 post on my page. So i got nervous. What we did in school today was reading personal narrative's. I read this personal narrative about this guy playing footbal after school. So he broke this guy's arm. His bone was sticking out his skin. I love reading class because my teacher is always talking about football. She hates the redskins. She's from Georgia so she likes Falcons. But you can't hate the Falcons are a pretty good team. >:(

Reading class

In reading class for warm-up we have to read our books.I was reading a story called "Tears of A Tiger". Its a really good book. But the guy next to me kept talking to me and i couldn't concentrate. He kept talking about what if something happened to him. He said what if he just turned into a bug, and spiders were coming out of his ears, and his eye's turned red. Even though that's my friend it was still annoying. So I tried to ignore him and read my book. But I can't hear talking while I'm reading, its annoying. Especially if someones whispering. Sometimes I just wanted to sceam shut up. But I thought about it. I knew I would be in trouble. I did'nt want to scream because the room was quiet and I did'nt want to be on blast. What was also annoying was that this girl kept eye balling me.I can see on the corner of my eye, when somone's looking at me. And im not going to say who it was. I get annoyed easily.

P.E

Today was an A-day, and in my P.E class I had first MOD. We do the same thing as usual for warm up we stretch.Then after we stretch we have free P.E. Free P.E is when you play all different kinds of sports. I played basketball. I was practicing on my shooting. As time passed by I got better. I learned to line up the ball with the basket and shoot. I made every single shot. I was also practicing my free-throws. I made 8 out of 10. So I think I made an A in P.E class. Everybody else was playing catch and soccer. One guy kicked an exercising ball and it almost took of my head. It went over my head as I was tying my shoes. Then I went to go play catch with my friends. My friend threw the ball and I wasn't paying attention so it hit me in my upper-back. When it hit my back it cracked. Then I started breathing and it was hurting my chest. So I sat down. Then got back up. As I got up I was under the net of the basket and someone shot so I got hit on the top of my head. Then I felt dizzy. So when I got up I threw the ball back at the person who hit me. Even tho it wasn't his fault.

Math Class & Physical Education

Today in math class we received our assessment #2 test. I received a 90%. I studied all week long, and I'm so proud to get that grade. On my last assessment I got a 67%. So I improved alot! I went up 23%. We had alot of test. The only reason why we had alot of test because our grades were really bad so she wanted us to bring our grade up. We only have one more week till we get our progress reports. So I'm trying ton get my math grades up. Our math class is bad. Our average out of the whole class is 66%. We are the lowest class. All we did in math class was to review our test. In P.E we ran around the gym. I was playing basketball and others were playing football. In P.E class we are working on baseball. We are catching,pitching,and batting the ball. So far out of my P.E grade is an A. In P.E we have to do a routine after we get out of the locker rooms. WE do push-ups,and sit-ups. We do different exercises. We also have to do two laps running around the field. That is very tiring. If we don't run the whole way we cant participate. Then a few hours later it was time to go home.

Lunch and Technology

At lunch we had orange chicken. Everyday we have either chicken or beef. Dr.Scott was playing old music and I didn't like the music. She played Marvin Gay, Pattie La bell,and Smokey Robinson. Then when Dr.Scott put on her favorite song she started singing on the mike. Everybody was clapping. I didn't know my vice principal had a great voice.It was kind of funny because when she was singing she started coughing, on the mike. After she stopped coughing she just put the mike back on the radio. Me,my friend Oshane and James was laughing. My vice Principal is nice but very strict. She doesn't tolerate any disrespectful children. My teachers don't either. I think I'm respectful to all my teachers. After lunch I went to my 5Th MOD which was technology concepts.In technology concepts we had to do a PowerPoint on the thirteen colonies. In my technology class if you talk you had to put your hands on your head and stand on one foot. So after she said that everybody stopped talking. Today was the best day i had ever since the first day of school

Today in language arts

Today in class we did a story map on Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela was a man who wanted to have equal rights in South Africa. Mandela had great courage to fight for his country when he knew he could go to jail. Back then whites controlled the government of South Africa. It was all about racial segregation. I think this story is boring, but Mandela had some encouraging words in this book. Some of his words were, "My country is rich in minerals and gems, but I have always known that its greatest wealth is its people". Those words show Mandela is proud of his country. He is saying that without the people in Africa, his county is nothing. Nelson Mandela was a strong brave man.Did you know he went to jail for 25 years, for fighting for his people's rights? After jail Mandela became president in 1994. That was 3 years before I was born. After being president, Thabo Mbeke became the next president.
